This lullaby was written for our daughters, Vivienne (5) and Margaux (21 mo), two extraordinary girls who entered the world profoundly deaf and have taught us new ways to relish in the abundant joys around us.

Through cochlear implantation, they found their own paths into the hearing world, carrying with them a courage and resilience that continue to humble us.

Vivienne, our winter girl, brings warmth, wit, and moxie to even the quietest days — always ready with a comforting hug or a laugh that lifts a room. Margaux, our summer baby, moves through life with boundless energy and fierce determination, keeping us on our toes while anchoring our family in ways only she can.
